OPEN HOUSE & TITLE ONE MEETING
Owyhee Combined School would like to invite you to a short informational meeting on the Title One program at this year’s first school Open House scheduled for August 25 starting at 5:30 p.m. The Title One Program is a program funded by the Federal Government which provides additional money for your child’s language and reading instruction. Material will be provided explaining how Owyhee Combined School uses this money to improve your child’s academic experience. This is also a great time to provide your ideas about how you think this important funding should be used at Owyhee Combined School. Here you will receive information which will help us form a parent/school partnership to ensure that your child has success at school. You will receive information about the Nevada Academic Standards, required state assessments in Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Math and Science, requirements for the Title One program, strategies for monitoring your children’s progress in school including the grading standards that will be followed and ways to have effective communication between the school and home. Thank you so much for all that you do to provide the very best for your children. We, here at Owyhee Combined School look forward to hearing your ideas about this important aspect of your children’s education. We hope to see you on the 25th.
This survey is administered by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) on behalf of the Nevada Department of Education. The NV-SCSEL asks students questions about the environment and conditions for learning in their schools.
